Acme Comedy Company was recently voted in the Top 10 comedy clubs in the Nation! We have a real gem in Minneapolis and a great following for great comedy. Acme books great national acts and opens with hilarious locals. The club is downstairs and boasts a very mixed aged and dressed crowd with one thing in common; they came to laugh. The show room is non-smoking and your cell phones don't work; this is the perfect atmosphere to see comedy.
The bar plays the sport events of the evening and is separate from the show room. In addition, seating is ample and placed so that everyone has a good view. Acme mixes up huge carafes of margaritas, White Russians, and other strong concoctions and the more you drink, the funnier they are. Mondays at Acme feature rising local comedians for free. The rest of the week features the national or featured act (tickets usually $15, $27 with dinner).
NOTE: Reservations are encouraged and sometimes necessary for the bigger acts.
THRIFTY TIP: Students receive $5 tickets with their college ID for the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8pm shows, and the 10:30pm show on Fridays.
Kat Surth: Get your drink before the show, otherwise you'll be waiting awhile get order and get your drink because this place gets packed! Drinks are tasty and the comedy is fantastic. Monday nights are free, so get there early to get a good seat.
