Formerly a Dinkytown movie theater (and originally a vaudeville showplace at its inception in 1915). The Varsity Theater is mostly known for hosting incredible music shows such as the likes of Girl Talk, The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and Tapes 'N' Tapes. Prominently featured with its brightly lit entrance, it is hard to miss. Now while this isn't necessarily a place to indulge in one's Dionysian vices (as it is primarily a music venue), there is indeed a bar where one can order a variety of typical drinks. Make sure to check out their calendar on their site to see what upcoming shows they have; they are an excellent venue decked with beds, plants, and unique Victorian atmosphere that is part antique store part artist loft, all music venue.
