The Cabooze is a long-time favorite for catching a raging show, and indulging in quite a few cocktails. If that's not your style, you can always play pool. Famous for its live acts, the Cabooze has hosted shows like Kool Keith, Toots and the Maytals, and other national acts. They also have a lot of tribute shows to some other wonderful musicians, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye and Jimi Hendrix. The dance floor is a little small, the bar is quite the opposite in that it is huge and there is more than one!! Always a good time. The hippy is in the majority here, but everyone is always pretty nice and usually inebriated. The Cabooze doesn't really offer any specials, but weekday cover is usually cheap and they have a $3 beer-of-the-month. Also, they have huge Becks or Becks Dark bombers for $5.
NOTE: If you use the patio you cannot come back in with your drink...THRIFTY TIP- Drinks are cheaper on the patio, $3.50 Montly Beer Special.
