The Florists EP Release Show: The Miami Dolphins, Fiji-13, IE

It's that time of year again... The Florists cordially invite you to the release party for their new EP, "No Costume". This event will include dancing, revelations of space, smiling, different sounds/images/sensations occurring simultaneously, flirting, queerness, trans bodies celebrating, imagination, political potential, and much more! We'll be joined by lovely friends such as... The Miami Dolphins! https://themiamidolphins.bandcamp.com/ We bow our heads to the noisy glee of this raucous quartet. I love this band. Irradiated pop unwinding and zig-zagging into cartoon suns. Fiji-13! https://fiji-13.bandcamp.com/ Everyone in this band is a sweetheart. They churn out catchy goodness like soft-serve from a glimmering machine -- pile it high on yr punk waffle cone! IE! https://iesounds.bandcamp.com/releases IE blurs space. Their drones braid my hair. You will look at IE on stage and, completely convinced, turn to your friend in the crowd and ask them if they're feeling it too. They certainly will be. TRIPLE ROCK 4/28 18+ DOORS @ 9 SHOW @ 9:30ish

M-F: 4pm-2am Sa-Su: 10am-2am
The Triple Rock is a Cedar-Riverside favorite and bills itself as an exclusive punk-rock club. Needless to say, the bouncers are intimidating (but surprisingly very friendly) and the crowd is on the alternative side. That being said, you will find no better specials than the ones found here.
If you are a beer fan, but not an over-priced beer fan, definitely check this place out. They have a wide tap selection featuring some of the best (and strongest) beers from around the globe. They also have a pool table, golden tee, and a great jukebox. The music is usually punk rock, but the jukebox holds a funny mix of music ranging from underground punk to Frank Sinatra. The Triple Rock used to have outdoor seating, but converted this area to a stage for live music. Live music is every night, but Tuesday when they have the 2for1's. There is always a cover for the shows, but this only applies if you want to go in the back and watch, the bar area is always free. Great fun and great drinks are to be had here, however, a word of warning: If you are sensitive to smoke, stay away! This place is always smoky regardless of the number of patrons. Somehow, after 5 minutes, even without anyone else here, you feel the insatiable need to wash your clothes.
